UV-C light is invisible to the human eye. (Don’t be fooled by the blue light on other sanitizers. If you can see it, it’s not UV-C light, so it’s not doing any disinfecting!). For you to have so much disinfecting power safely with you in your pocket, we had to make sure we had every angle covered.
UV-C disinfectors that use fluorescent tubes are fragile, need up to 30 min warmup time and filled with toxic mercury. Blast UV™ uses 3 high-performance, gold-plated sapphire LEDs instead. They’re shock resistant, chemically safe, consume very little energy, are instantly active at full power and last for over 10 years.
When folded Blast UV™ is very compact that when or where you need it, it’s right at hand. When opened, it’s tightly sealed so no UV-C light can escape. If the one of the triple fail-safe patent pending sensors detect an opening, UV-C disinfection will shut off.
The Porex Virtek® lining is one of few high-tech materials that’s UL-F2 certified, meaning it’s a UV shield that insures no harmful UV-C light can escape.
UV-C light is invisible to the human eye, so we’ve added thermochromic dots to the outside of the box. Each dot relates to one UV-C LED and turns red to show they’re working. Remember, UV-C light is invisible. Without this, there’s no way of knowing if your disinfector is working or not.
