Remember how when we were kids we promised ourselves we’d never turn boring, we’d be the cool, fun parents all kids deserve? Of all the roles we play as parents, being a source of excitement has got to be the most fulfilling. So here we are. As trained engineers we’re making it our mission to reinvent all the unhelpful plastic that weighs young families down, freeing us grown-ups up to be the sparks of fun we promised ourselves to be!

Hi,
We are Paulina and Frédéric, the Belgian founders of Bombol. We love going out and have a blast as a family.
We were living and working in Milan when our kids arrived — with no family close by to help us out. As if family life wasn’t wild enough already, we quickly learned that parenting shouldn’t feel like a Tetris game with bulky gear. It should empower parents — not get in the way — of what is the best, the most exciting, and the most creative part of anyone’s life — the start of a family.

How we got here?
Our dream was to share the world with our kids — we were not going to let a few products stand in our way. We’re parents, but before we became parents, we were engineers, industrial designers and inventors. So, we did what we do best: whip up smarter solutions and Bombol was born… Bombol is our love letter to Milan — where artisanal elegance meets parenting without the baggage. Today, Bombol can be found in all corners of the world for parents to Stay Sparky!

It’s no secret that baby products are often designed to be used for just a few months before being tossed aside. It comes at a triple cost — waste, emissions and cash. It never made sense. So we set out on a quest for durable quality products that empower parents. With every step we took, we discovered that lasting design isn’t just practical, it’s Mother Nature’s best sidekick. Conclusion? Sustainability isn’t a sacrifice or afterthought — it’s good design working overtime. Today, green grit is our co-pilot as we look to the future. That is why we partnered with tree-planting experts to scrub our footprint, and we want you to be a part of it. We started the Bombol Forest™ with blockchain-certified saplings that we give to you, the new members of the Bombol family, that you can name after your baby. The Bombol Forest™ isn’t just about offsetting — it’s a living, breathing promise, with your little one’s name on it.
DID YOU KNOW?
What does Bombol mean?
It’s a frequently asked question. We were looking for a name that sounded like a babbling baby, but also meant something. During a casual picnic with our first daughter Yasmine, we noticed bumble bees bouncing from flower to flower. The bumble bees reminded us so much of our little one, all cute and chubby, and a bit clumsy too. And so the name “Bombol” was born!
